Clinical Supervision for LPC-Associates
Structured, ethical, growth-oriented supervision tailored to your development as a clinician.
Supervision Overview
Supervision is intended to be a collaborative and reflective space that supports your growth as a clinician while honoring your values, strengths, and areas of continued learning.
Through supervision, associates can expect:
• a consistent, supportive space to reflect on clinical work, ethical questions, and professional development
• thoughtful feedback that supports growth in confidence, clarity, and clinical judgment over time
• guidance in case conceptualization that integrates theory, culture, language, and lived context
• support navigating ethical decision-making, documentation, and scope of practice with care and intention
• opportunities to deepen self-awareness and explore how personal identity, culture, and experiences shape clinical work
• preparation for independent practice grounded in ethical standards, cultural humility, and reflective, client-centered care
Relational Mentorship
Supervision is a critical aspect of a counselor's development, making the choice of the right supervisor important.
In supervision, I adopt a collaborative approach that aligns with your needs. This could involve focusing on your clinical expertise, pursuing professional goals like obtaining a doctoral degree, or even starting your own practice, among others.
I also offer intentional support for bilingual and Spanish-speaking clinical work, including space to explore language, cultural meaning, identity, and ethical considerations .
My values as a supervisor include developing a strong working relationship, cultural humility & responsiveness, collaborative learning, and holding high standards for ethical and competent care.
Flexible Schedule
Supervision is offered both virtually and in person with a flexible schedule.
I am available for supervision during both day and evening hours, offering flexibility for group, individual, or triadic sessions. Group sessions are offered every other month on the weekends. You can also choose to have two-hour meetings, which allows us to meet twice a month.
If you'd like to explore supervision, please contact me! The next step is to set up a meeting for us to meet and make sure we are aligned in goals, style, and overall fit.
I am looking for associates who bring a strong ethical and moral foundation to their clinical work and professional development.
This includes associates who:
• take responsibility for their actions and clinical decisions
• approach mistakes as opportunities for learning rather than something to hide
• demonstrate integrity in documentation, reporting, and communication
• understand that ethical practice requires ongoing reflection, not just rule compliance
Foundational Ethics and Professional Values
Commitment to Growth and Accountability
Supervision with me is structured, evaluative, and designed to support long-term professional competence, not minimal compliance.
I am looking for associates who:
• accept responsibility for their learning and development
• embrace a growth mindset and actively apply feedback
• are willing to be challenged in service of becoming strong, ethical clinicians
Who I supervise:
Curiosity, Teachability, and Use of Supervision
Supervision is a reflective professional process that supports clinical growth, ethical integrity, and self-awareness in practice.
I am looking for associates who:
• demonstrate a willingness to learn and to ask questions
• seek clarification rather than making assumptions
• bring cases and dilemmas openly to supervision
• engage in thoughtful case conceptualization rather than surface-level reporting
• use supervision as a space for clinical and professional growth
Cultural Humility and Clinical Awareness
Given my work and supervisory approach, cultural responsiveness is essential.
I am looking for associates who:
• are open to examining how identity, culture, power, and context shape clinical work
• seek feedback around cultural dynamics and language
• integrate cultural considerations into case conceptualization and treatment planning
Professional Fit and Expectations
My supervision style is structured, direct, and intentional.
I tend to work best with associates who:
• value clarity, structure, and direct communication
• are self-motivated and accountable
• understand that growth often requires discomfort
• want supervision that challenges them to become their best professional selves
Supervision with me is not a good fit for associates who are looking for minimal oversight or who want a supervisor whose primary role is signing off on hours.
Ready to see if we are a good fit?
Request a consultation meeting to determine mutual fit and supervision expectations.
