Evaluations

Forensic Evaluations

At Iluminando Nuevos Caminos, PLLC, I provide forensic immigration evaluations to families who require the expertise of a mental health professional to determine their eligibility to remain in the United States. These evaluations, also known as psychosocial evaluations, psychological immigration evaluations, or forensic evaluations, can help identify any underlying psychological issues and provide valuable information for your case.

Types of Evaluations offered:
  • Asylum - For clients who fear persecution in their home country based on race, religion, nationality, political opinions, or membership in a particular group.

  • U Visa - For clients who have been a target of a crime and suffered psychologically or physically at the hands of a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.

  • T Visa - For clients who are survivors of human trafficking and their family members.

  • Cancellation of Removal / Extreme Hardship Waiver - Evaluations focus on extreme hardship to a qualifying family member for the individual in immigration proceedings.

  • VAWA (Violence Against Women Act) - For clients (of any gender) who have experienced spousal abuse by a partner who is a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
