Mental Health Services

I offer virtual individual and group therapy, assessments to support mental well-being. Clinical supervision is available both virtually and in person.

Individual Therapy

Individual Therapy is helpful for those who want to work through issues at a pace that allows for an in-depth exploration.

As a therapist, I offer personalized counseling sessions to adults seeking growth and development in their personal and interpersonal lives. My education and experiences center around offering assistance to the BIPOC community, with a specialty in Latinx/e mental health concerns and adult children of immigrants.

Group Therapy

Group counseling is a therapy modality that centers on collective healing. It is ideal for those who are searching for a community to share experiences and learn from others

At Iluminando Nuevos Caminos, PLLC, I provide forensic immigration evaluations to families who require the expertise of a mental health professional to determine their eligibility to remain in the United States. These evaluations, also known as psychosocial evaluations, psychological immigration evaluations, or forensic evaluations, can help identify any underlying psychological issues and provide valuable information for your case.

EMDR Therapy

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a type of therapy that aids in the reprocessing of traumatic memories and other distressing life events. Unlike traditional therapies, EMDR does not require clients to talk extensively about the distressing situation. The therapy method uses an eight-phase model that concentrates on the images, beliefs, emotions, and bodily experiences associated with the event. The ultimate goal is to alleviate distress and symptoms related to the event.

Cognitive behavioral therapy primarily aims to identify and address how our thoughts can lead us into unproductive patterns. The therapy involves learning to shift our thinking towards a more adaptable and empathetic outlook, as well as acquiring coping mechanisms for challenging situations in life.

Clinical Supervision

As an LPC-S, I also offer clinical supervision for LPC-Associates

Supervision is a critical aspect of a counselor's development, making the choice of the right supervisor important.

In supervision, I adopt a collaborative approach that aligns with your needs. This could involve focusing on your clinical expertise, pursuing professional goals like obtaining a doctoral degree, or even starting your own practice, among others.

My values as a supervisor include developing a strong working relationship, cultural humility & responsiveness, collaborative learning, and holding high standards for ethical and competent care.

Supervision is offered both virtually and in person with a flexible schedule.

I am available for supervision during both day and evening hours, offering flexibility for group, individual, or triadic sessions. Group sessions are offered every other month on the weekends. You can also choose to have two-hour meetings, which allows us to meet twice a month.

The fee for individual and triadic supervision is $85 an hour, while group supervision is $60 an hour.

If you'd like to explore supervision, please contact me! The next step is to set up a meeting for us to meet and make sure we are aligned in goals, style, and overall fit.

How do you know if we are a match?

Finding the right therapist is essential. The most effective therapeutic experiences include a few things: (1) Your therapist has experience with issues you're interested in working on and (2) you like your therapist as a person, and (3) you feel respected and heard by your therapist. The therapeutic relationship lays the groundwork for a safe, honest, and productive space in therapy. So, please get to know me through this website, and if you think we could be a match, then let's chat. I'm happy to answer your questions to help you decide if we could be a good team.

How long do people need therapy?

My goal is that you will notice differences after the first session. The number of sessions needed to meet your goals varies from client to client; however, many clients see me anywhere between 8 weeks to over a year.

What is the Good Faith Estimate (No Surprises ACT)?

All healthcare providers must give you a "good faith estimate" if you are uninsured or using private pay. This notice outlines what you should expect to pay for services. You can dispute your bill if you receive a bill that is $400 or more than your Good Faith Estimate. For more information about the Good Faith Estimate, visit the website www.cms.gov
